Jane Dysart has assembled a wonderful line-up of KM thought leaders for Track A today. I’m moderating! it promises to be a great day. We’re leading off with Dave Snowden and Mary Boone in a dialogue that should challenge your thinking about KM and set the tone for the much of the rest of the day.
We’ve also got Stacy Land, who has great experience and tips to share about how to enroll senior management support for your KM programs and activities. Those of us who have worked in KM for a long time know what a challenge that is!
This afternoon we’ll look to the future and were KM is heading. We lead off with Dave Pollard, whose deep thinking about KM and sustainability, will offer his view of a path forward. Dave is followed by IBM’s Peter Andrews, who has a compelling story about how the next generation of workers will pull KM into a future in which our social networks are both business and personal at the same time, supported by an amazing web of social tools.
Then we’ll have a panel that will address the future of KM, beginning with a set of problem statements — where KM is now, with some dialogue about how we move forward.
The final speaker of the afternoon, Cindy Gordon, will take us into the technology future — where virtual worlds will provide engrossing environments for learning and knowledge transfer.
