Here is a listing of the series of session notes for KM World 2010 and Enterprise Search Summit 2010. It was a great and it was tough to determine which sessions to record. I tried to pick a cross section of topics. I hope you find these notes useful. It was also nice to be in Washington and I will be posting on my restaurant experiences in an upcoming post.

KMWorld brings together industry though-leaders, practitioners, and leading-edge solution vendors to help you maximize your technological investments. It’s the place to learn to maximize technological investments through practical, hands-on information, case studies and instruction. Register today to get the early bird rate for KMWorld or the co-located Enterprise Search Summit, Taxonomy Bootcamp, or SharePoint Symposium.
Update: Just got word that this rate will be extended until Friday, October 29. But why wait? See you there…
I can’t say how excited I am that we are hosting this year’s KMWorld–of which Enterprise Search Summit is one of the co-located events–in Washington D.C. this year. And from the attendance numbers, so are search, information, and knowledge professionals from all over the world. We are multiples above last year’s numbers already and things have really started to pick up steam.
While I feel confident that the location is a big factor–bringing this amazing combined event to a hub of the most savvy users on earth–I am also optimistic that the word has gotten out about our re-aligned approach to bringing four related events together in order to provide the most complete experience out there for those seeking to maximize their content, knowledge, and information infrastructure. While each event–KMWorld, Enterprise Search Summit, SharePoint Symposium, and Taxonomy Bootcamp are destination events in their own right, all feature session times that are on the same schedule, allowing Platinum Pass attendees to easily move between events and tracks to get a holistic experience offered by no other event.
Thank those who have already registered, and those about to do so, as well as our speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors for allowing us to get together and expand our knowledge.

Discussions of Enterprise Search Summit last spring in NYC:
The detailed schedule for KMWorld 2010 is now online. At the Renaissance Washington DC hotel from Monday November 15th through Thursday November 18th there are four major events making up KMWorld 2010 :
KMWorld, Nov 15-18, with workshops on the 15th and three tracks of programs Nov 16-18.
SharePoint Symposium, Nov 17/18 (the newest addition to the KMWorld family of events)
By co-locating these events, KMWorld 2010 provides all the essential pieces of the information engine that powers today’s effective enterprise — including knowledge creation, publishing, sharing, finding, mining, reuse, and more. Well managed and implemented, these activities work together to enable business problem-solving, innovation, and achievement — all those critical processes and practices for KnowHow: The Knowledge-Driven Enterprise (the theme of KMWorld 2010).
Stay tuned for more information about these events, guest blogs from speakers, and related material. Register and maximize your organization’s technological investments through practical hands-on information, case studies and instructions, and build personal relationships with speakers and thought leaders at many conference networking events.
